WHY?

Duluth Loves Local is a grassroots movement that wants consumers to think local first, and by doing so, positively impact the place we call home. When you buy products and services from independent and locally owned businesses, you’re supporting the Duluth economy. Best of all you’re supporting our friends and neighbors.

COMMUNITY: We are bringing the community together in one place to celebrate local business in the Duluth area. There’s no better time than the holiday season to recognize and gather in the name of what makes our city so great. This event will unite families, business owners, creative minds and more in a dazzling winter scene on the Historic Congdon Estate built by one of Duluth’s original entrepreneurs.

ECONOMY: Holiday shopping is easy at big-box retailers or online. We’ve organized this event to make it just as easy for shoppers to choose local first. When you shop local, your dollars stay in our local community and support our friends and neighbors. We’ve brought together locally owned vendors in one place where they will offer their goods and services.
